    Fukushima Fukushima-shi Kaminagura Oishi Maeji
    A cultural preservation establishment located in the Azuma Sports Park in Oishimae, Kaminagura, Fukushima City. It contains houses from the prefecture's northern area and the Aizu area that were first built between the mid-Edo Period and the mid-Meiji Period and the moved and reconstructed. The onsite museum has exhibits around the theme of Home Life and there's a hands-on area with straw craft and classic toys.

    One of my favorite places in Fukushima City. There are events and workshops on some weekends and public holidays which are amazing, but it is still really interesting on a quiet weekday when there...

    母校の校歌も古関裕而氏の作だったことを思い出し立ち寄りました。校歌、歌謡曲、軍歌やスポーツ関係の曲の数々の他、NHKラジオの「ひるのいこい」のテーマ曲なども古関氏の曲と知り、その幅広さに驚きます。館内の撮影はできませんが、曲と映像も楽しめる施設となっています。

    Ever since its grand opening in May of 2017, this facility has been a symbol of the region’s recovery. With over a million visitors in just five months, its appeal is evident. You can purchase original Kunimi products, general food items, fresh local vegetables, and fruits, and six-sector industrialization products, among which are included items produced in Fukushima and famous brand-name products and souvenirs. It’s about a 12-minute walk from JR Fujita Station.

    This ice cream shop is directly operated by Katahira Jersey Shizen Bokujo. The shop is located just off the Ryozen-Iitate Interchange of the Tohoku Chuo Expressway and sells ice cream that makes use of the nutrition and flavor of Jersey milk as it is. The most popular soft-serve ice cream is made from Jersey milk, which accounts for less than one percent of the domestic milk supply. The smooth, rich and thick milk flavor is a prized taste that is loved by everyone from children to adults. In addition to basic milk, fresh ingredients are added to the ice cream, and there are always about 20 flavors of ice cream available, including chocolate chip, green tea, rum raisin and blueberry.

    とても美味しいジェラート屋さんです。人気のお店で、朝から賑わっていました。ミニサイズ(220円)をいただきましたが、十分なボリュームです。チョコ味も濃厚でした。

    This temple was built as the family temple of the Niwa clan, who were the lords of the Nihonmatsu Domain. The temple belongs to the Soto sect of Buddhism. Its grounds currently feature a reconstructed bell tower, the mausoleums of the successive heads of the Niwa clan, who ruled the Nihonmatsu Domain. It also features the graves of the members of the Nihonmatsu Youth Brigade whose young lives were lost during the Boshin War as well as a memorial tower dedicated to the victims of the conflict. Other points of interest include Kannonyama, a sacred place where the Saigoku Sanjusan Kannon are enshrined, a pilgrimage of thirty-three Buddhist temples throughout the Kansai region of Japan as well as the Enmei Koyasu Jizoson guardian Ksitigarbha of childbirth.

    大隣寺ははじめ、白河の地に建立されましたが、その後、国替えとともに二本松に移り、二本松藩主歴代の菩提寺となりました。 現在の本堂は1810年代に改築されたものです。戊辰戦争直後には、藩主の謹慎所や二本松藩庁の仮事務所、藩校などにも使用されました。本堂の左側には戊辰戦争殉難者の霊とともに、二本松少年隊隊長、副隊長と少年隊戦死者14人の供養塔が建立されています。

    A roadside station standing along National Route 349 in Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture. The station sells seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as local specialty products such as Sakura Miso and Sakura no Sato beer. Visitors can also eat soba noodles made by skilled chefs using local buckwheat flour, udon noodles, and other tasty dishes. The Kassenba Weeping Sakura, a famously beautiful cherry tree, is also located nearby, attracting large numbers of tourists.

    国道沿いにあります。ここでしか食べられない「岩代牛」のメニューがあります。ハンバーグは可もなく不可もなくですが、ソースがおいしかったです。

In addition to area tourists, the station also serves as a gathering space for and is visited by many local residents.

    A tourist orchard located in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture visited by large numbers of tourists. Here you can enjoy picking cherries, Asian pears, peaches, grapes, apples, and other fruits when in season. The orchard also offers a reservation-only course which includes a souvenir. The orchard's parking area can accommodate three large busses. The orchard is open from June to December.

    福島市はももや葡萄がとても有名ですが、市内にも多くの観光果樹園があります。その中でもまるえさんは料金・質共にとても良心的だと思います。

    A natural hot spring facility constantly replenished kakenagashi style located in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture. The facility is over 400 years old and is known as one of the three Takayu hot spring bathhouses of Oshu (Mutsu) Province. The facility can be used by non-guests. The bathhouse has a mixed bath, outdoor bath, and private baths. Visitors can enjoy beautiful natural scenery along with their natural hot spring bath.

    こちらには安く入湯できる露天風呂があります。以前はそのお風呂を利用しましたが、今回は道案内をしてもらいたくて受付を訪れると的確な案内をしてもらいました。以前に利用した時はその先の道路が火山活動のため通行止めになっていたのです。今日はそれも解除されていましたが、行程を細かく教えてもらうと別ルートを選びました。悪天のためグッドチョイスだったと思います。

    This park is located in Kakunai, Nihonmatsu City. It's built on the site of Kasumigajo Castle (Nihonmatsu Castle), built during the Edo period by Niwa Mitsushige. Most of the castle's buildings were destroyed by fire during the Boshin War at the end of the Edo period. The remaining stone walls have been designated a National Historical Site. There's an athletic park with a sports ground and a gymnasium to the north of the castle ruins. It is also a popular cherry blossom spot and the trees are illuminated at night when they are in bloom.

It is near Hachiman Jinja Shrine and Hachimanji Temple, where the Kenka Matsuri (""Argument Festival"") is held, and since the characters for ""Hachiman"" can also be read as ""Yahata,"" this is where the name of the bathhouse came from. During the Reitaisai grand festival in October, the whole area takes on a festive atmosphere."

    八幡神社の近くにあります。あまり観光客のこない公共浴場でこちらも200円で入浴できます、古い建物で他同様シャワーなどがありません。桶でお湯をくんで体にかけて入ります。狭いのですがその分地元の方がに話しかけてくれます。こちらも熱い

    A gyoza dumpling store in Nishikicho, Iizaka-machi, Fukushima City. They serve the local Fukushima specialty, Enban Gyoza, dumplings served arrayed in a circular pattern. The dumpling filling mixes a cabbage base with Yonezawa Sangen Pork and the homemade wrappings are just a mixture of flour and water that are wrapped as you order before being arranged in the circle and fried. In addition to gyoza they also serve ramen noodles, side dishes, and Fukushima sake.

    Jododaira is a subalpine plateau on Washikurayama, Tsuchiyu Onsen Town, Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture. The coniferous forest and marshland creates a unique landscape. The visitors center is the central location for their five trekking courses which vary from a 20-minute walk to hikes that can take a few hours. There is an observatory that is open every Wednesday and Saturday evening for star gazing. The road is closed from late October to early April due to snow.

It was originally called Kami-yu, but after mountain ascetic began using its waters to heal the wounds they incurred from cutting themselves, it became known as Kiri-yu, from the word for ""cutting."" It is said to be effective against wounds. Its name can be written with either the character for ""cutting"" or the character for ""paulownia."" Its water is alkaline simple springs."

    熱湯の湯ですが地元の方に言わせるとヌルいお湯だそうです。朝6時開店で 地元の人とのか会話が楽しい。洗い場がなく桶でお湯を体にかけますが 熱いのでが大変。河原にあるビルの地下、河原にあります。怪しい階段のしたにあります。地元の方に名所やおすすめを聞けますよ

    At 1,728 meters high this beautiful mountain was selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 mountains and appears in Kotaro Takamura’s poem Portrait of Chieko. It is only 10-minutes to the summit via the Mt. Adatara ropeway. There you can gaze over the Adatara and Zao Mountain Ranges.
