Kasumigajo Castle Park
This park is located in Kakunai, Nihonmatsu City. It's built on the site of Kasumigajo Castle (Nihonmatsu Castle), built during the Edo period by Niwa Mitsushige. Most of the castle's buildings were destroyed by fire during the Boshin War at the end of the Edo period. The remaining stone walls have been designated a National Historical Site. There's an athletic park with a sports ground and a gymnasium to the north of the castle ruins. It is also a popular cherry blossom spot and the trees are illuminated at night when they are in bloom.
