- Hokkaido Asahikawa-shi Miyashitadori 11 Kamikawa Warehouse
- A city block with brick warehouses that were once attached to Asahikawa Station. Founded around 1900 by the early Taisho period there were 21 warehouses and were being used as a logistics base for the pioneering and development of Hokkaido. The Kamikawa Warehouse district, registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, now contain a number of different businesses including a design gallery, a collection hall, and the Taisetsu Local Beer Hall. Many brick warehouses still remain in Hokkaido but this crowding of a number of relatively smaller warehouses is a unique site that you won't find anywhere else. This famous location is also one part of the development of the Kitasaito Asahikawa district around Asahikawa Station.

Hokkaido Areas
Not just a prefecture but an island of its own, Hokkaido is the most northerly prefecture and island of the Japanese archipelago. Arriving in Hokkaido, which is rural and bursting with breathtaking nature, means entering a world where vast national parks, towering mountains, and natural hot springs can be found at every turn. Come December, these natural splendors freeze over and morph into a winter wonderland.
