    This day-use hot spring bathhouse can be reached by heading south down Prefectural Route 28 from the Shigiranakaya-mae bus stop; the bathhouse will be visible on the left-hand side. Situated near Utsukushi Valley, Gunkan Rock, the Hisashi Momiji, and other tourist attractions, the bathhouse also has parking, making it conveniently accessible by car. In addition to men's and women's indoor bathing areas, the bathhouse also has a mixed bathing outdoor bath where bathers can enjoy a relaxing soak along with a view of the beautiful valley immediately in front. The bathhouse is also adjoined by the Wakayama soba restaurant, which serves yamakake soba noodles with grated yam, and sansai udon noodles with edible wild plants.

    中津駅前のビジネスホテルにとまったが、夕食はホテルのレストランは開いておらず、駅前をぶらっとしていて入った。昔ながらの食堂の感じで、お洒落な感じは全くしない。入ったらおじいさんが一人注文して、料理を待つ間ビールを飲んでいた。メニューは大体5百円前後、定食でも6百円ぐらいと安い。ちゃんぽんを頼んだら、野菜があふれんばかり入ったちゃんぽんが来た。味もまあまあでお得感いっぱい。
