    A hot spring resort in Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, which has an unusual alkaline sulfur spring. There are not only indoor and outdoor baths as well as family baths, but also a Japanese garden and a restaurant. It is a very popular hot spring for a day-trip, attracting locals and tourists alike.

    "This day-use hot spring facility is surrounded by rich nature bustling with fireflies. There are two types of large baths that alternate between being men only and women only: one is a bright and refreshing ""Western-style bath"" with white and pink tones, and the other is a ""Japanese-style bath"" built of stone with black and brown tones. You can see Mt. Eboshi, the highest peak in the county, from either bathing area. The alkaline simple sulfur and radioactive spring water that is gentle on the skin is said to be effective for gout, high blood pressure, chronic women's diseases, diabetes and other ailments. There is also a special bath (reservation required) where even those with disabilities can bathe with caregivers. In addition, there is an adjoining sales store with local specialties and souvenirs."

    "This day-use bathing facility is located on the banks of the Shibukawa River, a tributary of the Nishiki River. You can enjoy bathing while listening to the babbling of the river in the outdoor bath, and has indoor and outdoor baths with saunas on a quiet hill in the mountains. The attached restaurant serves kaiseki (traditional Japanese course meals) using an abundance of fresh seafood from the river. There are menu items such as ""Nontasoba"" using their own cultivated buckwheat noodles, sweetfish dishes available only in the summer, and soft-serve ice cream using wasabi from the Kano area."

    柳井市近辺の日帰り温泉を探して見つかったので行ってきました。露天風呂は無くて内湯が2つあります。シンプルながらもリラックスできました。 休憩場所はあるもののレストランは併設されてないようなので、売店で何か買って食べる感じのようです。
