    Osaka Shijounawateshi Minamino 2-18-1
    This shrine is located 15 minutes' walk from Shijonawate Station. It is one of the Naniwa Seven Fortunes, and the 20th shrine on Osaka's Sacred Places of Shinto and Buddhism pilgrimage. Masashige Kusunoki's eldest son, Kusunoki Masatsura is the primary deity of the shrine, along with the other 24 deities from the same clan. The shrine was named in 1889, and the current main shrine built approximately one kilometer east of the grave of Masatsura, known as Kusuzuka. The camphor tree planted by the grave is an ancient tree, almost 600 years old. It is a designated Natural Monument of Osaka Prefecture. There are many cherry and maple trees in the grounds, and a great number of people visit in the cherry blossom and autumn leaves viewing seasons.

    四條畷神社は、楠木正成の息子、楠木正行とその一族24人を祀っている神社です。春は桜、秋は紅葉と景色も良いです。とてもスッキリした神社です。

    "This Shinto shrine is located in Kishiki-cho, Kishiwada City. The shrine was established in 1585 by Koide Hidemasa, lord of Kishiwada Castle, to enshrine Gozu Tenno, guardian deity of the Kishiwada area, along with Amaterasu-omikami and Hachiman. The shrine is famous for its Kishiwada Danjiri Festival held each year in September, and during this time visitors can watch the ""Yarimawashi,"" an exciting traditional event in which heavy festival floats called ""danjiri"" are pulled around the corners of city streets at great speed."

    岸和田城から堀を隔てて東に位置する。当地の産土神の天照大神をはじめとする三柱をお祀りしている。こじんまりとした神社だが、境内でイベントが行われていて、人が集まっていた。

    Subaru Hall is an eight-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nagano Line's Kawanishi Station. It is a multipurpose facility, located to the east of Meijiike Park, with a residential area between the two. The large hall has room to seat 806 people, and the small hall can accommodate up to 2,50 people. Both halls are venues for events such as live performances, concerts and theatrical performances. The planetarium's domed ceiling gives a complete view of the starry sky and the domed ceiling also doubles a giant movie screen. Business meetings are also held in the facility, in addition to lectures and activities organized by the public.

    富田林市主催のコンサートなどを開催しているほか、プラネタリウムがあります。小さな子どもがいる家族連れの方には良い施設かもしれませんが、車でないと行けない場所にあることが難点です。

    This is a shrine in Naniwa Ward, OsakaCity, famous for thegood fortune with money charm called Tanesen (seed money). The shrine dedicated to Shikitsumatsunomiya Shrine and Okuninushi Shrine that is affectionately called Kizu no Daikoku-san. From the 9th to the 11thof January every year Ebisu, the god of wealth, is celebrated and the shrine becomes crowded with worshipers. This shrine is also popular as a spiritual place for marriage due to the tale of Okuninushi no Mikoto marrying the love of his life, the daughter of Susano, after enduring many hardships.

    近くのスーパーの有料駐車場に車を止めておまいりさせていただきました。境内には木々がすくなく、炎天下でおまいりすると、さえぎるものがなく、少々つらいものがありそうです。敷津松之宮には大きく氏神様、摂社の大国主神社には大きく大黒様と表示されていました。これはあまり見たことが無いパターンですが、わかりやすいので助かります。ご祭神は素盞嗚尊、大国主命です。

    This is the only museum in the country dealing with documents and information on Yayoi culture, located approximately 600 meters from Shinodayama Station on the JR Hanwa Line. There are two permanent exhibition rooms displaying Yayoi culture to see and documents regarding the Ikegami Sone ruins, The World of Ikegami Sone. Visitors can experience Yayoi culture through authentic material, replica and video as well as enjoy learning about themes such as rice making, innovative technology, and a statue of Himiko holding a mirror. A wide variety of exhibitions including seasonal special exhibitions and archeology seminars are also held.

    こちらは 1991年に開館しており 2022年10月1日-2023年3月31日迄 老朽化に対する改修工事の為 臨時休館になっています(添付 写真参照)。 こちらを訪問予定であれば 来年 春まで 入館できないこと留意する必要があります。

    The National Museum of Ethnology (or Minpaku) is located in the Expo Commemoration Park in Suita City, Osaka. With exhibits centered around cultural anthropology and ethnology it is the world's largest ethnology museum. Researcher's have collected some 345,000 articles of daily life tools and native dress from every part of the globe. Exhibits in the Main Building are divided into nine geographical regions and with both musical and spoken exhibitions, starting in Oceania before heading eastward in a lap around the globe. Come be introduced to a variety of world-wide cultures with nearly 12,000 displayed materials that focus on daily tools and necessities of life as well as 800 video shorts that show different cultural etiquettes and arts as well as daily activities.     "A 15-minute walk from Minami-morimachi Subway Station, the museum is marked by Japan's first gas lamp. Originally built in 1911 as a thermal power station, the building was refurbished into the Mint Museum and now is the only brick western-style building remaining from the Meiji period (1868-1912) on the premises. On the second floor, there are exhibits on the history of the Mint and prize medals awarded to athletes at the Tokyo and Nagano Olympics, etc., as well as an ""Experience Corner"", where visitors can touch gold and silver bullion bars. On the third floor, various coins from around the world are illuminated by LED and displayed. A reading room for further information is also open to the public to learn more about currency."

    This temple located in the Hirokawa area of Kanan-cho is famous as the place where the monk Saigyo ended his life. A famous cherry blossom viewing spot, the famous Suya-zakura (red weeping cherry blossoms) on the grounds have thin trunks and a deep pink dainty appearance when they begin to bloom. The best time to see them is usually from the beginning to end of April. Approx. 1,500 cherry blossoms such as Yoshino cherry blossoms, yae-zakura and weeping cherry blossoms bloom nearby, and the area was chosen as one of Osaka's top 100 green landscapes. The 13th En no Gyoja's sacred site of the Saigoku Yakushi 49 Temple Pilgrimage, possesses items such as a wooden seated statue of a saint who achieved complete emptiness, a prefecture-designated tangible cultural property, and a wooden Kobo Daishi seated statue.

  • Tomb of Emperor Nintoku

    This is a keyhole-shaped tumulus (a form of ancient Imperial grave) in Sakai Ward, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, and is the largest among the old burial mounds throughout the country. It can be counted as one of the world’s three largest tombs alongside King Khufu’s Pyramid and the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor and it is estimated that it was constructed over 20 years in the middle of the fifth century. Items such as swords, armor, vases, and dishes were excavated in 1872. Although according to the Imperial Household Agency it is supposed to be the tomb of the 16th Emperor Nintoku, the person actually buried has not been specified, and in recent years the name “Daisen Burial Mound” is used. There is a circuit path in the surroundings which takes about an hour to walk.

    A Shinto shrine located in Konda, Habikino City. The shrine was founded in 571 on the order of Emperor Kinmei. Adjoining the Mausoleum of Emperor Ojin, this shrine is the oldest Hachiman shrine in the country dedicated to Emperor Ojin. During the shrine's autumn festival held each year on September 15th, a portable shrine designated a National Treasure is brought to the Mausoleum of Emperor Ojin.

    誉田八幡宮は、近鉄南大阪線古市駅から徒歩15分くらいにある。由緒正しき神社で人気がある。 国宝も奉納されているらしい。

  • Izuminokuni Ichinomiya Otori Grand Shrine

    This shrine is one of the Five Izumi Shrines, the grand Shinto shrines which people visit mainly to pray for disaster prevention. The two deities worshipped here are Yamato Takeru no Mikoto and Otori no Muraji no Oyagami. The shrine covers over 12 acres of land, and the vast Chigusa no Mori forest contains ancient camphor trees which are over 800 years old. People flock to see the traditional festivals held here, such as the flower-picking festival, which began in the Heian period for people to pray for good health, and the Otori Danjiri festival, which is said to be the original Danjiri festival.

    This park opened in Osaka in 1970 for the Expo '70 World's Fair. The building originally used as the Steel Pavilion was renovated after 40 years and re-opened in 2010 as a museum. The museum showcases over 3,000 items and documents from the original Expo. The first floor is a free area but there is an entrance fee for the second floor. The museum shop sells limited Expo only items with the Expo's logo or the sun tower.

    This shrine is approximately 10 minutes on foot from the Nankai Koya Line's Hatsushiba Station. Known as a shrine dedicated to relationships and removing misfortune, called Hatsushiba-san by local people, this is a partner shrine to the Izumo Grand Shrine in Shimane Prefecture. The two deities enshrined here are Okuni Nushino Okami and Hino Kagutsuchi No Kami, which was moved here from its partner shrine. Visitors to the shrine may pray by reciting Shinto prayers and receive talismans and charms during shato kigan (prayers conducted on the shrine premises) hours, which are every day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (except the first three days of the New Year). This shrine does not give out Goshuin.

    The shrine was first founded in 1946 as a branch shrine of Atago Shrine. The enshrined deity was Kagu-tsuchi, the god of fire in Japanese mythology. Kagu-tsuchis birth burned his mother Izanami...

    JR高槻駅から歩いて11分ほど北西部に歩けば行くことができるJTの研究館である。 子供時代はよく自転車で通った道で、高槻スイミングスクールの近くにある。

    This is a concert hall in the Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Phoenix Tower. It's near the junction of the Keihan National Route and Midosuji, and also near JR Osaka Station. It seats a maximum of 335. Behind the stage is a massive window, and the view from atop the tower sets a wonderful atmosphere for the audience. Performances are mostly highly artistic, with lots of western Classical music featured. There are also more casual musical events, such as Teatime Concerts with drinks and snacks.

    高層ビルとは言いませんが割と高いビルの中にある音楽ホールです。あいおいニッセイ同和損保が運営しているらしく「ザ フェニックスホール」の名と並列に表記されていました。梅田新道交差点に有ります。

    This is a shrine in Tennoji Ward, Osaka City, Osaka, and enshrines the deity of Ikushima-Tarushima, the guardian gods of the land and the earth. It is said that the shrine started when Emperor Jinmu worshiped Ikushima-Tarushima in the vicinity of the current Osaka Castle. Toyotomi Hideyoshi relocated the shrine to its present location in 1583. Although the main shrine was rebuilt after the World War II, it retains the architectural style called “ikutama zukuri” of the Momoyama period. The shrine is popular with a large number of worshippers during the Summer Festival held on July 11th and 12th, one of three major summer festivals in Osaka.

    "A Buddhist temple located in Nonoue 5-Chome, Habikino City. Records state the temple was founded by Soga-no-Umako on the order of Prince Shotoku and thus is also known as the ""Nakano Taishi"" after the prince's Japanese title of ""taishi."" The ruins of an Asuka period temple, including a three tier pagoda and main hall, are located on the grounds, and this has been designated a National Historic Site."

    大阪府羽曳野市にある聖徳太子所縁の高野山真言宗の仏教寺院。 府道堺羽曳野線沿いに建ち、無料駐車場が有ります、入場料も無料です。 非常に歴史の有るお寺で元々は広大な境内だった様ですが、現在はこじんまりとした落ち着いた雰囲気のお寺です。 お寺裏の墓地には、浄瑠璃や歌舞伎で有名な「お染久松」のお墓があります。 国重要文化財の金銅弥勒菩薩半跏像は18日に開帳です。

    A temple of the Buzan-ha sect of Shingon Buddhism. When Sanada Maru, a small fort of Osaka Castle, was built there was a tree that the locals believed to be sacred. Sanada Yukimura also prayed to this tree by stabbing it with sickle and that winter he had a great victory during the winter campaign of the siege of Osaka. It is believed that after his victory Sanada Yukimura then erected this small shrine. This temple is famous as Osaka's foremost temple and worshippers who visit to pray stick sickles into the tree. Photography is not prohibited on the premises.

    境内の榎の霊木に鎌を打付けて祈念するそうで、撮影禁止となっている境内には、その榎が立っていました。 現在は、真言宗豊山派の寺院となっており狭い境内ながら、悪縁を断つ為に訪れる参拝者は多いようでした。
