    This cafe in Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture is a 55-minute ride from JR Fukui Station on the Keifuku bus line towards Ayukawa and a five-minute walk from the Onyu bus stop. Located on the Echizen Coast, guests can enjoy a sweeping view of the Sea of Japan from the cafe's deck. Some of the offerings on its menu include its Mare sandwiches, which are made with fresh vegetables and pastrami, as well as spaghetti made with squid and mentaiko (spicy walleye pollack roe), and clam chowder packed with the savoriness of crab. The cafe also offers customizable shipping containers.

The cafe operates out of the renovated tearoom and storeroom of a classic Japanese-style house and offers a menu of lunch dishes loaded with locally grown vegetables as well as hand-made deserts. Meals are made with body-friendly ingredients including beet sugar and brown rice.

    お昼に伺いました。 ランチは日替わりのみ(1080円) 前菜とお味噌汁、プレートに盛り付けられた雑穀米とおかず。 ほぼほぼ野菜です。 でもひとつひとつの味付けが美味しく、とても食べやすいです。これだけの野菜を1食で摂ることはなかなか難しいと思います。 座敷もあり、小さな子ども連れのママも行きやすい雰囲気がとてもいいですね。 ケーキやコーヒーもあり、カフェ利用もできます。

They serve carefully blended coffee made with beans from Ishikawa Prefecture's famous Nizami Coffee shop alongside homemade cakes in locally made cups and plates. From the shop, filled with antique furniture, you can see the 300-year-old Tabunoki laurel tree from which the shop derives its name.

    旧森田銀行の向かいの建物の2階です。落ち着いた雰囲気で、地元の作家のアート作品などが並び、ちょっとしたギャラリーのようです。カップも作家さんの手作りの、暖かみのあるものでした。コーヒーも丁寧に入れられて、とても美味しかったです。

Along with Japanese teas grown on their personal farm and home roasted coffees they also sell herb teas, black teas, and other goods. Their original sweets including cakes and gelatins as well as their coffees, black teas, and matcha green teas are all made with carefully chosen ingredients. The shop and cafe operate out of a renovated house that is over 100 years old.

    Had an excellent waffle, and good coffee. Service was very good. Feels like a nice posh cafe when sat inside, despite the location. This cafe is a hidden gem in the basement of Seibu.
