This gorge is a scenic area, counted as one of the “eight vistas of Kano,” located in the middle section of the Osugidanikawa River. About 400 meters of footpaths have been laid out in the area, allowing visitors to sense the beauty of nature throughout all four seasons. It is said to be a superb place for viewing autumn leaves, and tourists flock here when the maples and oaks are at their peak colors around November every year.

Ishikawa Areas

around-area-map

Long, thin Ishikawa prefecture runs along the Sea of Japan up into Noto Peninsula. Highlights of the seaside towns lining the west coast include Kanazawa, often described as a "Little Kyoto" thanks to its old wooden tea houses and geisha culture as well as its picturesque Japanese garden, Kenroku-en.
