"A roadside station located right next to the Rendaiji Interchange on the National Route 8 Bypass. The station's farmhouse restaurant, Shikisai, serves original set meals made with an abundance of local ingredients such as Hotarumai rice grown in the firefly-rich mountains of the area, as well as local Komatsu dishes like ""Komatsu Udon"" noodles, once a favorite of the great poet Matsuo Basho. The recommended ""Tomato Curry"" is a limited time dish made using Komatsu-grown tomatoes and only the water from the vegetables used in it. The station's farm-fresh shop Jinomonya sells a wide selection of fresh-picked farm produce and processed foods."

    Ishikawa Hakusan-shi Miyamarumachi 2183

Ishikawa Areas

Long, thin Ishikawa prefecture runs along the Sea of Japan up into Noto Peninsula. Highlights of the seaside towns lining the west coast include Kanazawa, often described as a "Little Kyoto" thanks to its old wooden tea houses and geisha culture as well as its picturesque Japanese garden, Kenroku-en.
