The restaurant serves Noto beef, a variety of Japanese black beef raised amidst the natural beauty, mountains, and sea of Noto; only a few hundred head of this rare beef are shipped each year. Compared with other brand name beef varieties, Noto beef has slightly less marbling, instead boasting an outstanding quantity of the oleic acid, an indicator of its excellent flavor. As you chat with the chef at the counter, you are encouraged to enjoy your steak with a house soy-based sauce or a secret recipe chili sauce.

The restaurant is notable for its use of Noto beef, a variety of Japanese beef that can only be called ""Noto beef"" if it is certified by the Japan Meat Grading Association. The restaurant's specialty ""Noto Beef Foie Gras Steak"" has been featured on television. As only a few portions are available on any given day, an advance reservation is recommended.     A steakhouse located at the foot of Mt. Utatsu a 15 minute walk from the Kenrokuen Garden. In addition to the meat itself, all of the ingredients, down to the seasonings, have been carefully selected. The flavor and taste of the meat; the sound of the steak frying; the fragrant, appetite-inducing aroma; the balance of textures between tender meat and crisp vegetables; and the sight of the chef's skilled movements-here you can enjoy steak using all five senses. During the day, the restaurant serves steak set meals as well as a weekday-only Mt. Utatsu Lunch which includes tenderloin steak, seasonal seafood, and grilled vegetables. At night, the restaurant offers a variety of course meals which allow you to choose your cut of meat, and it can be used for parties.

    This was the best food experince in Japan for me and my husband.the meat was excellent!!!!! We loved it.

    お値段はそれなりにしますが、味の評判はよく、連れて行った方はみなさん満足してらっしゃいます。客層は年齢層はやや高めかもしれません。 お店の雰囲気もよく、小あがりもあります。マスターとスタッフさんと、ずっと長年同じお二人でやってらっしゃいます。お店はもう40年くらいは続いていると思います。マスターが前田八家の奥村家の子孫だそうで、立派な兜が店内に飾ってあります。
