- This popular ramen shop located right near JR Miyauchi Station has several branches in Nagaoka City, Niigata City and Tokyo. It is known as the father of “Nagaoka-style” ramen with the soy sauce soup base flavored with ginger. The flavor’s charm is its clean, crisp taste while still getting the rich, deep umami of the ingredients and soy sauce. The chewy noodles that go down smooth and the chasiu (roasted pork) are both well received. All seating is counter seating.

- This ramen shop is just a short walk from Miyauchi Station. It's the home of Nagaoka ginger soy sauce ramen and is included as one of Niigata's top five ramen restaurants. The slight spice of ginger in the soup is popular even amongst women and the never-ending line of customers has been featured in the media. In the gourmet comic Ramen Hakkenden (Ramen Discovery Adventure) it appeared as Nagaoka ginger soy sauce ramen shop, Akashima Shokudo. Their popular Aoshima Ramen starts with a rich soup made from their ginger soy sauce base and blends well with their medium thick noodles. A variety of toppings can be chosen including chashu pork and spinach.

- This ramen shop located on National Route 17, popular for its ramen and tsukemen (dipping ramen), was founded by a former employee of the Dosanko Ramen chain. The restaurant's many seating options include counter seating, table seating, and traditional tatami floor seating, making it a good place for families to relax. Their most popular item is their buttered and salted asari clam ramen. The blend of pork bone broth and asari clam-based stock give the ramen an elegant flavor, while the generous portion of big, chewy asari clams makes it nice and filling. We also recommend their spicy miso-flavored chilled tsukemen, which feature a viscous, slightly spicy and richly miso-flavored dipping broth, which is somewhat unusual for tsukemen.

ここの醤油ラーメンは色が濃く見えますが、見た目と違いさっぱりしています。スープの中には生姜が入っていて隠し味になっています。塩あさりラーメンもアサリが多く入っていて、あさりのエキスも堪能でき、美味しいです。

ご存知 中華そばのチェーン店 「幸楽苑」 あえて、わざわざ長岡まで来て… という訳ではありません。 仕事上、仕方なく こちらで昼食をいただきました。 とは言え、安定の味、納得の価格。基本、無休で 朝10時台から開店しています。 実は つけ麺もあると知り、驚きました。
