    A Japanese kappo cuisine restaurant and inn operating out of a two-story building adorned with two plaster angels and characters spelling the establishment’s name. Here you can stay in a room commanding a view of the Sea of Japan just outside. The establishment is also renowned as one of the leading restaurants in the prefecture, and customers rave about the outstanding seafood, bought fresh from Izumozaki Fishing Port just a stone’s throw away. The restaurant serves food from the Sea of Japan prepared with as little manipulation as possible in order to draw out the innate flavors of the high quality, fresh ingredients. The establishment’s eastern facade, facing the Hokkoku Highway, is 37 square meters in area and is a registered Tangible Cultural Property. The establishment two-story structure is capped by a tiled, gabled roof and is acclaimed as an excellent example of Western-style architecture prevalent between the late Meiji period and the Taisho period.

    A restaurant on the second floor of the Teradomari Hamayaki Center situated along the Teradomari Fish Market Street, also known as the “Ameyoko of Fish.” Here you can enjoy the same fresh-caught fish sold in the market, which is visited by 5,000 tourists a day on average. The only establishment in the Teradomari Fish Market Street which has its own fish preserve for crabs, many customers find themselves unconsciously stopping to look at the large snow crabs shipped straight to the restaurant each day. The fresh-boiled crab served inside is not only outstandingly tasty, it’s perfectly cooked as well. The establishment is also located close to a tourist bus parking area, ensuring it bustles with customers no matter the season.

    A cafeteria operating out of the second floor of the Kakujoe fish seller’s annex along Teradomari Fish Market Street (Sakana no ameyoko) in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture. The restaurant primarily serves rice bowls and set meals which let diners enjoy fresh delights from the Sea of Japan, including crab, ikura salmon roe, and Alaskan pink shrimp. The restaurant’s most popular item is the exciting crab ramen—a whole red snow crab served in a bowl of ramen broth. The flavorful broth, made with chicken bones, soy sauce, and crab, becomes even more delicious when you mix in the red snow crab’s innards. Shionohana’s seafood rice bowls, piled high with seasonal fish, are also well-reviewed.

    This shop of live crab and hamayaki cooked food, located on Teradomari Fish Market Street in Teradomari, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, is unmistakable with the huge crab hanging on the shop front. Inside is a large tank full of crabs and not surprisingly the shop’s specialties are boiled crab and crab soup. As for the hamayaki-style seafood barbecue, the restaurant serves a wide variety including squid and mackerel. The well-cooked seasonal seafood is a popular take away choice too. The restaurant on the second floor offers dishes of crab and seafood.

Ride the bus for 15 minutes and get off at the last stop and then it will be a five-minute walk. This restaurant is managed by the fishmonger and souvenir store Yamaroku Suisan. It is part of the Teradomari Fish Market, marked by its distinctive red and yellow awning, on the second floor of a red awning. Their fresh seafood menu items including salmon and salted roe rice bowls and crab with rice combo plates come with soup and side dishes. They can also make food arrangements for groups according to your budget.

    週末のお昼を食べに行きました。 入店は11時を少し過ぎだったので、待たずに座れましたが、食べ終わって出る頃(11時半くらい)にはもう待っている人でいっぱいでした。 さすが魚べい、大人気ですね。 アプリで予約や順番待ちの確認ができて、とても便利です。

    バル街でお邪魔しました。嫌な顔せずにサビ抜きにしてくださり、自家製玉子焼きが美味しかったです。回転寿司しか行ったことがないので敷居が高かったけど、今度行ってみたいなぁと思いました。

    お安めの値段で本格的な美味しいお寿司が楽しめます。 お寿司だけではなく、サイドメニューの料理も豊富で良かったです。 2階の席を利用しましたが、ちゃんと仕切りがされているなどのコロナ対策もしっかりされていたので安心して食事ができました。

    長岡の住宅地にあるお寿司屋さんです。 観光客向けというよりは、地元の愛されるお店という感じです。 ふらっと入店させていただきましたが、各種美味しくてお値段もそこまで高くもなく、満足な感じでした。 良いお店だと思います。
