    This is an area in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture which faces Yokohama Port. In the “Central District”, there is Landmark Tower, in the “New Port District”, there are the Red Brick Warehouses and Cosmo World and in the “Yokohama Station East Exit District”, there are Sky Building and more. Naturally it is an area for shopping and sampling the foods of different eateries, and in the evening, you can overlook the beautiful night scene. it is one of Yokohama’s most popular tourist areas.

    This boardwalk connects 2-Chome, Shinko, Naka Ward, Yokohama City with the 2-Chome, Minatomirai, Nishi Ward. A portion of the rails and bridges of the Yokohama Rinko Line constructed in 1911 were saved and used to create a boardwalk for walking over the sea. It is popular for strolling and viewing “Yokohama Landmark Tower”, the scenery of Minatomirai, and the cherry blossoms in spring.

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
