Based around the themes of sea travel and adventure, the museum is divided into the departure, exploration, mysterious ship’s bottom, and treasure zones, where you’ll find artwork that can be visually enjoyed and touched, and even exhibits which you can take a photo with.

    The Sky Garden is the 69th floor observation deck of the Yokohama Landmark Tower located a three minute walk from Minatomirai Station. 273 meters above the ground, it takes around 40 seconds to reach the Sky Garden from the first floor using the fastest elevator in Japan. A single floor observation space is walled in by four giant windows, giving visitors a sweeping view of the streets of Yokohama and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji. The night view from the deck is particularly beautiful and the Sky Garden is a popular date spot. The Sky Garden café serves a variety of items to enjoy with the view.

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
