Kanagawa Ashigarashimo-gun Yugawara Machi Miyakami 42 Maison Yugawara 1F
A pottery studio equipped with four electric kilns featuring electric potter's wheels and gas reduction capabilities. It's capable of firing not only Oribe, Kiseto, and Shino pottery, but also celadon, underglaze iron decoration, ceramics painting, and porcelain decorated with colored pictures. In addition to trial ceramics classes, classes where you learn the basics, and classes designed to suit participants' needs, they also have five hands-on pottery workshops. All of workshops and classes require reservations.

What a fantastic workshop! It was my first time to try pottery making ever. The lady teaching me and my girlfriend speaks English, is very professional and really makes it interesting and engaging...

Kanagawa Areas

around-area-map

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
