    The Railway Museum is located near Tetsudo Hakubutsukan Station in Onaricho, Omiya Ward, Saitama City. Built to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the founding of JR East, The Railway Museum undertakes preservation and research work in relation to both Japanese and international railways. Using exhibits of real railway locomotives from different eras, as well as train-driving simulators etc., the Museum enables visitors to learn about both the history of railways and the latest rail technology.

The museum's standing exhibition looks at the lifestyles and culture of the people of Saitama and it also holds special exhibitions on the history and folk customs of the prefecture.

    Learning the history of Saitama. Total of 10 halls for the permanent exhibition. Ticket for permanent exhibition is ¥300, permanent and special exhibitions (on kimono) cost ¥400.

    A municipal museum that collects, preserves, and exhibits historical, archeological, folk, and other materials related to Saitama City. Their permanent exhibit looks at the history and culture of Saitama City and you can enjoy learning about the local area with a hands-on area. The museum also holds special events including special exhibits in the fall, themed exhibits in the spring, a Summer-Vacation Children's Museum, a winter Ancient tools and Lifestyles exhibit, all sorts of hands-on learning classrooms, ancient literature lectures, and community college level history courses amongst others.

    さいたま市周囲の有史以前からの歴史を紹介した展示物が中心です。昭和時代の手作り玩具や竿秤、石臼、薬研の体験もできます。許可を受ければないぶの撮影も可能です。

The museum's standing exhibition is filled with interactive exhibits which teach about the history of movies as well as how movies are made, and visitors can see what it's like to film, combine clips together, make a cartoon, and create projection mapping. The museum also holds special exhibitions concerning visual media.

    科学館とハシゴ。アフレコ体験や編集などとてもとても楽しめます！時間も結構持つので小学生にオススメです。

    A museum attached to the Mint Bureau Saitama Branch, which relocated from Toshima, Tokyo to Saitama City in 2016. Nearly 1000 different items are on display including all prior commemorative coins, medals, Olympic medals, and ancient coins. On weekends and holidays they offer guided tours as well as quiz shows aimed towards elementary and middle school students.

    Free entry. Best museum visit so far, because the staff were patient to explain in English and proactively pointed areas that i should see, yet gave space for me to explore the tour myself.

The grounds also hold an activity hall teaching about traditional lifestyle in a restored private house.

    A museum with displays centered around the theme of demonstrating the lifestyle of those from the Urawa region, located in the restored central section of the former Saitama Prefecture Normal School (Hoshokaku Building) that was built in 1878. On display are documents related to the Minuma Ferry and the nationally designated historical site Minuma Tsusenbori locks as well as materials related to archeological finds from the Baba Omuro-yama archeological site including surface-drawings, earthenware, clay figures and decorations and materials about the Hoshokaku building.

    それほど広くなく収蔵品の数も多くありませんが、浦和近辺の移り変わりや歴史を中心とした展示でした。裏手にきれいなモクレンの花が咲いていました。

You can take a tour of the doll workshops, try a doll making class, and also purchase popular Japanese-style accessories.

    こちらは東京外環道戸田西IC近くにあります。 建物は1階-5階までありますが、このご時世なので1階と5階が解放されていました。 1階は水槽に入った魚・亀などが飼育されており観察できます。 5階が荒川についての治水の歴史と隣の彩湖の仕組み・役割などが展示されており勉強になりました。 また、屋上から見た景色も良かったです。（富士山は雲があって見えませんでした）

    川口駅から10分ほど歩いた場所にある万華鏡の博物館です。 さまざまな万華鏡があって、面白いですが、入場料が規模の割には少し高いです。

    こちらは戸田駅より徒歩10分くらいのとこにあります。（1・2階が図書館です） 戸田市の歴史を、旧石器時代から近代・現代まで時代順に展示しています。 一般的な資料館との差はなく、いたって普通でした。
