    Founded over 2,400 years ago, Hikawa-jinja Shrine is famous for its “Hikawa Gagaku-kai,” which was organized in 1935. This society performs ancient court music known as gagaku at the shrine’s festivals. Although it is also held in the spring, the annual kangetsu (moon viewing) gagaku performance at the shrine’s music pavilion in the fall lets visitors enjoy a fantastic autumn evening with a performance that blends kagura and kangen dance.

Keyaki Hiroba, located adjacent to the arena and stadium, contains a number of cafes, taverns, and other eating and drinking establishments.     A Shinto shrine located in 2-Chome Miyamoto, Midori Ward, Saitama City. The shrine is dedicated to gods such as Kushinadahime-no-Mikoto. Warm climate plants grow thickly here, and the shrine's grounds have been designated a Prefectural Natural Monument as well as Furusato no Mori forest. A Nagoshi no Harae event is held here on July 31 in which participants take dolls into which their sins and shames have been transferred to and let them drift away on a river, then pass through a large ring placed in the shrine's torii gate to pray for good health.

There's also a barbecue ground which allows visitors to bring their own foods for grilling.

    涼し気な風鈴や、鯉の恋みくじを釣り上げるという変わったおみくじがあって、とても可愛いかったです。 神社の周りにもオシャレなカフェや、色んな食べ歩きができるお店があってとても楽しい1日になりました!

    A museum attached to the Mint Bureau Saitama Branch, which relocated from Toshima, Tokyo to Saitama City in 2016. Nearly 1000 different items are on display including all prior commemorative coins, medals, Olympic medals, and ancient coins. On weekends and holidays they offer guided tours as well as quiz shows aimed towards elementary and middle school students.

    Free entry. Best museum visit so far, because the staff were patient to explain in English and proactively pointed areas that i should see, yet gave space for me to explore the tour myself.

It was founded in 1966 on the former site of the mansion that Kitazawa Rakuten, founding father of modern Japanese manga, spent his later years with the goal of promoting the growth of manga culture. On display are the works of Kitazawa Rakuten as well as the works of other modern manga artists and they also hold various manga related events.

In the main building in the center of the facility you can try hometown cooking carefully made with traditional techniques and local ingredients that warms the heart including hand-made udon and soba noodles. In the studio building you can try hands-on lessons including making ceramics and pulling udon.
