- Located along National Route 7, this is among the largest roadside stations in the Tohoku area. In addition to the local product hall and restaurant, there is a day-trip hot spring and the Ashihotto foot bath, and many other travel facilities. And not only is there an observation deck on the sixth floor, there's an observation hot spring on the fourth, Chokai no Yu, with a view from the baths of the Sea of Japan year round. There's a banquet hall for large groups, making it a big draw for tour groups.

- This roadside station is along National Route 7. The restaurant and Iwaki Onsen Minato no Yu offer views of the Sea of Japan with your meal and bath, and are popular with tourists and locals alike. The low-brow cuisine Honjo Ham Fry Burger is a popular dish you can only get here! This spot is famous for views of the sunset over the Sea of Japan.

Akita Areas
Famed for its sake and samurai, Akita prefecture offers quintessential Japanese culture in a non-touristy setting. Alongside the celebrated rice paddies and historical sites of the region lies dramatic natural scenery in the form of the rugged coastline of the Oga Peninsula and the Dakigaeri Gorge, best visited in autumn, when the leaves begin to change color.
