- This beach is located a 15-minute walk from Same Station on the JR Hachinohe Line. It is right next to Kabushima Island, designated as a national monument as a breeding ground for seagulls, and you can see Kabushima Shrine from the coast. It has also been selected as one of the 100 Soundscapes of Japan, and this also includes an unusual swimming area where you can swim while listening to the cries of the seagulls. Although the beach is compact, it is crowded during the July and August season when people from nearby towns come to swim.

Aomori Areas
Centuries-old stories of samurai at Kakunodate and the remains of millennia-old archaeological sites including the likes of Isedotai invite history buffs to delve into Aomori’s fascinating history. As the most northern prefecture on the Japanese mainland, Aomori enjoys a cooler climate, which makes it a welcome escape from the southern cities for combining castles, art galleries, and summer festivals with the great outdoors.
