- This beach is located a five-minute walk from the JR Atashika Station in Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. The beach has such gentle wave and smooth sand, capable of entrancing viewers, that it was chosen as one of Japan's top 100 beaches by the Environment Agency. It is also distinctive in that visitors can barbeque and set up tents at this beach. There are toilets and showers available, so it is convenient for families. Visitors can also marine sports such as stand-up paddle boats and sea kayaking, as well as the yearly fireworks display.

- A shallow and calm white sand beach. In summer, the beach area is dotted with lovely parasols. The beach is located inside Ise-Shima National Park. Goza-shirahama Beach has been as one of the 100 most enjoyable beaches in the country, as well as one of Japan’s top 88 beaches. Each of the clubhouses operating at the beach has shower and changing facilities. There is also a motor home camp ground and clubhouse nearby.

- This resort features a white sandy beach that stretches out in an arc. It is distinctive for the fine sand that feels smooth underfoot. It was chosen as one of the Japan's 100 Best Beaches and its charm point is the expansive view of Ise Bay that unfolds before you. It was also the first beach in Japan, opened in 1882, to officially allow swimming. It is said that Emperor Taisho practiced swimming here. It is a 15-minutewalk from the JR Futaminoura Station, and is also easily accessible by car, approximately a eight-minute drive from the Ise Futami Toba Line junction via National Route 42. There is a residential area nearby, with the added convenience of being able to easily buy anything you might need.

- This beach runs for about two kilometers along the south side of Ise-no-Umi Prefectural Natural Park. It stands out for the lovely scenery of its surroundings. From May through August you can try clam digging, and the Umi-no-Ie beach huts accommodate about 350 people for dining on fresh asari or hamaguri clams in a variety of dishes. From July through August the beach is open for swimming, and it is usually filled with swimmers.

- This expansive 500-meter long beach is located in Ousatsu-cho, Toba City, Mie Prefecture. The white sand beach extending for hundreds of meters, with its views of the Pacific Ocean, was chosen as one of the ten best landscapes in Toba. The sea water is so clean, small fish can be seen swimming in it, and there are also tent-rental and barbecue facilities available, so families can easily enjoy themselves. There are two toilets and shower areas which can be used for a fee. There are also various seaside facilities such as parking lots and shops which open around mid-July each year, in addition to many nearby hotels and such which are available for overnight stays.

- This official Shima City beach is accessible by riding the bus service from the Kintetsu UgataStation for approximately 20 minutes and walking a further five minutes from the Hamajima bus stop. The waves are calm, and the sandy beach is beautiful. During the summer, visitors can experience catching fish free of charge, as well as cooking them at the barbecue area, for a fee. Additionally, there are leisure items for hire, such as beach balls, parasols and beach chairs. Changing rooms, toilets and showers are also available, so families can easily enjoy themselves.

- This beach is located on Toshijima Island, Toba City. It is a natural sandy beach in a small bay and has an atmosphere like a private beach. There is a little rocky area and rock hill nearby, and the contrast between this and the sandy beach makes it a beautiful place to visit. The cleanliness and transparency of the seawater is one of its distinctive features. There are no seaside shops or large stores, but there are facilities such as rest areas fitted with reed screens, toilets, showers, changing rooms and lifeguard posts. A shuttle bus service is available for visitors staying at the guest houses on Toshijima Island.

- This beach is located a ten-minute walk from the JR Mikisato Station, or approximately a five-minute drive from the Kumano-Owase Road MikisatoInterchange. The wide beach boasts approximately one kilometer of pure white sand and perfectly clear water. The coast is lined with pine trees which are said to have been planted by Kii no Yoshimune. Facilities such as showers and toilets are available, and in the summer, the beach is crowded with young people and families who come to swim and camp. There is also sea kayaking and a beachball tournament.

Mie Areas
Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
