    This is a long-established confectionery shop in Wakkanai City, Hokkaido, the northernmost tip of Japan and sells a variety of items ranging from souvenirs to daily snacks. The most popular western-style cake is the “Drift Ice Manju” which is a moist sponge cake covered with white chocolate and portrays the image of drift ice. In addition, bittersweet “Mocha Shofuku” and milky “Wakkanai Condensed Milk Sweets” are also popular. Local produce from Hokkaido, and especially milk produced only in the neighboring area is used. The careful selection of ingredients to make the sweets is the secret of their popularity.
