- The popular, family oriented Chausuyama Kogen Ski Resort has five runs for kids and grownups, including a sledding slope and a family slope you can get to the top of by either on foot or by taking the moving walkway. Their school instructs everyone from four-year-old kids to seniors, and you can get take Japanese badge tests (technical tests) ranking from the fifth level (lowest) to the first level (highest). The resort has a great view, and while the elevation is only 1,358 meters, the wind is strong, so be sure your clothing is warm enough.
