This is the southernmost ski resort in Japan, characterized by dry powder snow on the slopes at a height of 1,610 meters above sea level. The resort can be enjoyed by families or hardcore skiers and snowboarders offering a paradise course for beginners and medium level skiers, and a dynamic course for advanced skiers. The now famous “Takana (leaf mustard) meat bun” is available at the store.

This local specialty products center is situated on the border between Miyazaki Prefecture and Kumamoto Prefecture. The compact facility stands on National Route 218 and sells specialty products from Gokase Town and vegetables picked that very morning and brought in directly by area farmers. The center also has a restaurant in the back where you can enjoy Gokase soba and udon noodles topped with edible wild plants, local vegetables, and a whole kanroni sweet glazed yamame trout. The center is a place where visitors can obtain summer strawberries and bell peppers, local Gokase specialty products; kamairicha (pan-fried green tea); Gokase wines; and many other examples of the abundant variety of foods produced in Gokase Town.

This local products center is situated along National Route 327. The center sells local specialty products such as roasted rice cakes, Tsurutomi miso, and yuzu citrus chili paste. The center's adjoining restaurant serves meals made with local ingredients. The restaurant's popular sticky and uniquely chewy handmade soba noodles, limited to just 20 customers a day, are crafted with buckwheat flour from Shiba which is only produced in exceedingly small amounts and not normally sold in stores. The restaurant's fried rice is made with harlequin glorybower leaves, which release a fragrant scent when rubbed and which have a distinctive, addicting flavor similar to Japanese giant red mustard.
