- "Founded in 1919, Nagasakido is a venerable confectionary whose main store is in Shinsaibashi. The most famous products among its extensive offerings areCastella (a poundcake-like confection), baked according to secret traditional methods. Western-style hard-baked waffles, and Shinsaibashi potatoes. Products available only at Nagasakido's own stores include Original Castella, Crystal Bonbons made with liqueurs, Niji no Kakera (""rainbow crumbs""), made with agar jelly. Its Red Rice Manju (buns with bean-jam filling) have won a gold prize at 27th National Confectionery Expo."

Popular for its fresh Japanese sweets and bean jam cakes made fresh each morning with pesticide-free mochi rice, the shop's concrete counter is covered with colorful confections. The shop's raspberry daifuku bean jam cakes, dyed red with beet juice, are particularly popular. Filled with white anko strained bean paste and sweet and sour raspberries, these little gems have a refreshing aftertaste. The shop also has an eat-in space.

- This chain of confectionary shops was founded in 1858. The shop sells namagashi fresh Japanese confections such as aburi mitarashi, pounded mochi rice cake broiled with high grade ubame charcoal from Wakayama Prefecture and slathered with an exquisite sauce created by boiling down Rishiri Island kombu kelp and rich Yuasa tamari soy sauce. The shop also sells traditional confections such as dorayaki pancake sandwiches, as well as baked confections popular for their novel flavors mixing Japanese and Western elements such as Japanese-style sable cookies. Everything sold by the shop is highly reviewed. In addition, the shop offers mochi and special occasion confection assortments perfect for giving as a small gift when visiting someone.

思っていたほど美味しくなかったのでがっかり。まだ千鳥屋のみたらし小餅の方が美味しく感じました。他の和菓子も無難な味と言う印象です。

なんばウォークの中にあり、予定は無くても何かあるかなぁと思わず利用することが多いです。 呼吸チョコが売られているので、観光客向けのお店でもあると思います。 大袋や駄菓子まで、色々な種類のお菓子があるので、とても利用しやすいです。 どんなタイミングなのかわかりませんが、時々セールがあり、お安く買える日があります。
