- This Western confectionery and cafe, which opened in 1949, is a five-minute walk from Takaoka Station on the city-run Sakura-dori Line. You can enjoy reasonably priced cakes made with select ingredients. There are limited-time items that use seasonal fruits as well as 30 regular items available, and all look beautifully fresh. The adjacent cafe offers cake and drink sets. There’s also a sandwich lunch set available on weekdays from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.

- Chocolaterie Takasu, located very close to Hisaya-odori Station, is a specialty chocolate shop, and was established by Satoshi Takasu who gained experience at Theobroma, a well-established French confectionery shop in Tokyo. In the shop, there is a wide range of sweets including chocolates, baked sweets and fresh sweets in a pursuit of new tastes while preserving the traditions of French confectionery. The chocolates are made from uniquely blended high-quality cacao and there is a wide variety from standard truffles to ones kneaded with herbs and fruit flavors. In the attached café, you can enjoy exclusive sweets paired with a Columbian coffee or a chocolate drink.

- This cake shop with café is only a five-minute walk from Higashi Betsuin Station on the Meijo Line of the Nagoya subway. Spot their distinct signboard on their brick wall, “AZUR” which means the blue of the sea or sky. Their concept is based around a confectionary store that you visit on vacation. The interior is painted a sky blue with planes displayed everywhere. All their cakes are baked with seasonal and raw ingredients, their most popular is their butter-filled crispy Millefeuille. Their Quiche Plate is also very popular.

- Gâteaux de la mêre Souriante, located about nine minutes’ walk from Osu Kannon Station on the Tsurumai Subway Line, is a hideaway cake shop in Tachibana, Naka Ward. Mr. Kurimoto is a chef with a record of receiving awards at numerous cake shows. There are many gorgeous and beautiful-looking cakes which are lightly sweetened. Dome chocolat, which is a smooth chocolate mousse and colorful macarons, is particularly popular. It also provides a lovely place to eat in a natural atmosphere.

今回限定ケーキ頂きました。 ハッキリとした味ではありませんでしたが、大粒のイチゴと一緒に食べるととても美味しかったです。 安心して注文出来るケーキ屋さん、どれを注文してもハズレはないですね。

- Coffee Buriko, located about three minutes’ walk from Kamimaezu Station on the Tsurumai Line, is a townhouse café in a renovated traditional Japanese house built 70 years ago. The shop with a retro Showa period (1926-1989) atmosphere is spacious and relaxing, and you can enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere on the second floor which has seating with sofas. A homemade steamed hamburger steak with different sauces that can be enjoyed on weekdays and weekends is only for lunch but is recommended. Coffee Buriko’s original chocolat green tea which is like a sweet is popular on its drink menu.

お願いします、と言ったけど、袋にいれてくれなかった。 マスクをしてるので「いらない」と聞こえたのかもと思い、箱のまま受け取って帰ったが、家でレシート確認したら、しっかり袋代とられてた。 たかが３円かもしれないけど、損した気分は半端ない。

デザート王国はクレープが主力ですが、タピオカドリンクもたくさんあります。 タピオカドリンクは注文するとすぐ出てきます。 タピオカ増量は50円でできました。 紅茶とココナッツがブレンドされたタピオカドリンクをいただきました。 ココナッツ感が少なくて少し残念でしたが美味しかったです。
