Additionally, you’ll find cakes, baked sweets, soft-serve ice cream coated in seasonal fruit sauce and confiture.

    This western-style sweet shop is in Onari-cho, Kamakura City. Their signature item, Raisin-which cookies, feature butter shortbread cookies sandwiching rum raisins and butter cream. These top their selection which also includes Castella cake made with Nasuno Goyou Ran eggs, as well as cookies, madeleine cakes, and other baked treats and fresh cakes.

    This is a lovely bakery in Kamakura. Perhaps good for buying as souvenir. Decent range indeed. The raisin wich was quite joyful to go along with tea.

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo's most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
