- This eel cuisine shop was established in 1948. Located in the Ekimachi West shopping mall connected directly to Hamamatsu Station, the shop sells choice eel prepared kabayaki style grilled with sauce, tsukudani style boiled in soy sauce, and sansho-ni style boiled with soy sauce and Japanese pepper. The shop prepares its fresh, lively eel in the morning, and its slow-broiled eel kabayaki is shipped via refrigerated truck the same day without the use of vacuum packs or freezing. Prepared one skewer at a time, the shop's eel kabayaki is plump and tender. The shop carefully removes the tough fins and meat directly around the bones, ensuring you can enjoy a delightfully soft texture.

I had Tendon (shrimp tempura) and others had Kaisen (seafood) Donburi with 8 different type of fish sashimi. Everything was so fresh as the restaurant is adjacent to the fishing port. A la carte...

Shizuoka Areas
With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
