The castle in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture where the stone walls, the castle gate and castle tower keep have been restored. There's a lot to learn inside the grounds with pictures and models on display as well as a viewing platform on the top level. Surrounding the castle is Hamamatsu Castle Park, a popular meeting spot not just for tourists but for the locals as well.

it used to be very beautiful place but the city made a change to attract tourists and put massive ugly signs or allowed a starbucks to run in the property , all of which has destroyed serenity it had.

This museum is attached to the JASDF Hamamatsu Air Base and is a part of the JASDF's public relations outreach. Known by the nickname Airpark there is a museum and hangar with JSDF materials on display as well as a 360-degree theater where you can feel like a pilot. Their hold events always draw a crowd.

One of the best places in Hamamatsu to bring small children, and interesting for adults too. Best of all... its free entertainment!

This limestone cavern is located Inasacho Tabatake, Kita Ward, Hamamatsu City. About 400 meters of its 1,000-meter length are open to visitor. Visitors can enjoy exploring the cavern, which stays around a comfortable 18°C all year long. The cavern's substantial surrounding facilities include a museum, restaurant, souvenir shop, and a gelato shop.

This was my first time exploring a cave and it was fun! Great for the family! It had hills and areas that was cool to maneuver through! The walk is not that long so it is great for any age!

The four exhibition rooms have almost 1,500 instruments from around the world including Asia, Oceania, Africa, America, and Europe, as well as keyboards and domestic western style instruments and electric instruments. They hold a variety of music salons including lecture concerts about singular instruments or pieces of music and more casual evening concerts.

Ill be honest, we only came here because it was a rainy day, but we really enjoyed it. Loved the instruments from all over. The neat thing was you could listen to the sound most of them made either...

This temple is located in Iinoya, Inasa Town, Hamana-ku, Hamamatsu City. It was founded by Gyoki in 733. The Ryotanji Garden, made by Kobori Enshu, is an observatory pond-style garden built during the early Edo Period, and has been nationally designated as a Special Place of Scenic Beauty. A gondola in Kanzanji-cho, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture that connects Kanzanji Station near Hamanako Palpal Theme Park with Okusayama Station near the Hamanako Orgel Museum. It's famous for being Japan's first gondola to cross over lake water and while crossing you get a beautiful 360-degree view of Lake Hamanako.

It looks great in pictures but its a very short ropeway and view is not that spectacular. There really is nothing to see on top besides the Music Box Museum which is really small.

"This ancient Shinto shrine is dedicated to Mt. Akiha, the most sacred mountain in the Tokai region. Since it was founded in 709, the shrine has been visited by worshippers seeking the protection from fire it is purported to provide. In medieval times, the shrine was known as the ""Akiha Daigongen;"" designated a top-ranking shrine by the Imperial Court, it received donations of numerous swords of excellent manufacture from noted samurai. During the shrine's Fire Festival, held from December 15 to 16 each year, three dances - a bow dance, a sword dance, and a fire dance - are offered to the gods to pray for protection from fires, floods, and illness."

全国に千を超えるという秋葉神社の総本山で火防の願いを叶える古社です。調理場や焼き物の窯等火を使う職場で最もよく目にするお札が秋葉神社と思います。戦災を受け新たに建てられた金色の鳥居や境内にある火打ち石などが特徴的でした。山の頂上なので景色も素晴らしかったです。

A shrine in Togimachi, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu City. Gosha Shrine and Suwa Shrine merged in 1962 and both had deep ties to the Tokugawa family. This roadside station is located on the side of the Akiha Kaido Highway in Okawa, Tenryu Ward, Hamamatsu City. Its shop offers a number of hand-made manju (steamed buns) including their Hanamomo manju, a seasonal spring exclusive, their wheat manju, which are available year-round, and their special miso manju. It also offers items such as local agricultural products, processed products, handicrafts, and more.
