"This bakery shop's decor is accented with lots of exposed wood and is reminiscent of the animated film ""Kiki's Delivery Service."" Selling breads made with local vegetables and fruits, the shop's old-fashioned layout has staff standing on the opposite side of a showcase from customers. The shop's popular Danishes have an irresistibly crisp texture and just the right amount of sweetness, and are perfect to enjoy both as a snack and as part of a meal. The shop makes abundant use of blueberries, strawberries, and other seasonal fruits, and customers rave that the combination of the shop's toasty, aromatic bread doughs and vibrant, juicy fruits is addicting. The shop is also acclaimed for its wide variation of pastries as well as jams shipped direct from Kyohsai Farm in Furano, Hokkaido."

Shizuoka Areas

around-area-map

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
