    A long-standing confectionery shop known for their potato sweets that first opened in 1886. It was the stage for the drama “Naite Tamaruka” which aired in 1965 and starred actor Atsumi Kiyoshi. They normally have around ten different treats available including their Imoju Senbei, thinly sliced high quality sweet potato brushed with fresh ginger flavored molasses one by one and then baked, their Imoju Matsuba candied sweet potato fries, and Imoju-Tou sliced candied sweet potato. The shop has been designated as one of the Kawagoe City Landscape's Important Buildings.

    This house was built for the retirement of Yamazaki Kashichi, the fifth head of long-standing Kawagoe confectioner Kameya. In the year 2000 the main building, tea house, and sitting room were designated as Tangible Cultural Properties of the City and in 2006 parts of the building were donated to the city. The garden is a Nationally Registered Memorial (scenic location) and in 2019 the main building was designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan (Architecture). It is highly regarded as contributing to the development of landscaping culture.

    A bar with a relaxed atmosphere located in the Kawagoe Prince Hotel. Name liquors and cocktails are always available and you can relax with a drink from anywhere in the world and a quiet conversation. The bar has 26 seats and is accessible for those using wheelchairs. Though located within a hotel, as a venue for adults, those with children are not allowed to use the bar.

They use 100% pure Kurobuta black pork sourced from English Berkshire pigs raised on their personal farm. Koedo Kurobuta black pork is raised entirely without antibiotics, and their feed and breeding environment are adapted depending on the season. They offer four different dinner courses and their Chef's Choice Course Meal, which requires advance reservation, is perfect for important celebrations or client dinner. Their lunch menu offers great variety including a Children's Lunch and a Monday and Tuesday only Ladies Small Plate Lunch.

    A stamp workshop that was founded by a wooden stamp engraver in 1937 in what was then Kawagoe City Inohana Town (presently the Nakamachi, Taisho Romance-Dream Street Shopping Arcade). Since then they have offered services that have taken root in the area and continue to bear the same community faith in their skills and techniques. Every piece is completely made individually by a master carver and you can consult with them about any request on stamps, seals, and seal impressions.

    A long-standing Japanese confectioner first founded in 1783. They served the Kawagoe domain for generations before, in 1847, receiving the Kameya Daijo Fujiwara Kaei professional certification from the Kyoto Imperial Palace. The treats they make, inheriting the flavor and techniques passed down from the Edo period, have earned them much admiration. Their signature product Kame-no- Monaka is a beloved and elegant bite-sized wafer cake shaped like a turtle shell, and there are also seasonal limited products with the flavor of cherry blossoms and matcha green tea.

The farm cultivates Akihime and Benihoppe strawberries, and you also have the option to participate in 30-minute all-you-can-eat strawberry picking between mid-January and around late May (closed irregularly, so be sure to confirm before visiting). In the period between early December and around late May, the farm also sells strawberries and their own cultivated rice (unpolished).

    Saitama Hiki-gun Kawajimamachi Shiroinuma 675

    川島町出身で日興證券の創立者である遠山元一氏が２年7か月をかけて昭和11年に完成させた屋敷だそうです。茅葺き屋根の平屋建ての東棟、書院造の大広間がある中棟、数寄屋造りの西棟を渡り廊下で繋げた大邸宅は見応え十分です。今回は、美術館で期間限定のコレクションが見れますが、入館料が800円は、国の重要文化財の見学料ですね。日本庭園も綺麗でした！
