  • Tsuru no Mai Bridge

    This is a 300 meter bridge over Lake Tsugarufujimi. The wooden triple-arch bridge is Japan’s longest such structure, and its gentle arches are a lovely sight. The area draws many sightseers to view the bridge lit in the setting sun, with the lake set against Mt. Iwaki in the background.
  • Jogakura Ohashi Bridge

    A deck truss arch bridge. The arch portion, at 255 meters long, is the longest in Japan. The bridge, overlooking Jogakura Stream directly below, is a popular sightseeing destination offering a sweeping view of the Hakkoda mountains. In fall, the surrounding area is dyed a stunning red and gold by autumn foliage.
  • Aomori Bay Bridge

    The symbol of Aomori Bay, this 1,219 meter long bridge is the second longest in the prefecture. The bridge has a pedestrian walk from which you can take in a sweeping view of the ocean; the bridge is also beautifully lit up at night. Changing colors every thirty minutes, visitors are recommended to take in this lovely nighttime spectacle.
