    Located only two minutes' walk from JR Kyoto Station in Kyoto's Minami Ward, Kyoto Eco Trip specializes in renting bicycles. It offers bicycles for every need, including electrical assist bicycles and bicycles for children. Since the bicycles are available for rent outside of normal business hours, including early mornings and evenings, tourists as well as local residents take advantage of them.

    We rented ebikes for a whole day. Good bikes. Good explanation. You get a brochure with the map of Kyoto.

    Cycling is recommended if you’re going to be exploring the hilly Shuri area. Pottering SHURI rents out electric assist bicycles and also offers model courses that you can follow to see the best sights.

    This is just another place for people to seek more info and direction around the castle. There is a shop here but mainly selling souvenir.

    Located a 40-minute drive from the Hamamatsu Nishi Interchange, this cycling terminal is inside Imagire Taiken no Sato, Kaikokan in Araiumizuri Park. One of the seven rent-a-cycle terminals on Lake Hamana Cycling Road, a cycling course that allows you to make a round trip around the Lake Hamana. Its schedule of operations and closing follows that of Kaikokan. Customers may leave their rented bicycle at another terminal, but in that case, their security deposit is not returned. A special attraction of this terminal is that it offers a barbecue area and craft classes in addition to renting bicycles.

    Located directly in front of JR Onuma-Koen Station, this sightseeing facility houses souvenir shops, rest areas, restaurants and a rental bicycle service. The lakeside of Lake Onuma is a treasure trove of autumn leaves, fresh greenery, and wild animals, and takes about 70 minutes to go around the lake by bicycle. Renting a bike is a great way to get about and take in the scenery. In the restaurant you can taste the flavors of Hokkaido with dishes using the local specialty of water-shield (a kind of plant), and Mongolian-style mutton barbecue set meals. Don’t forget to check out the views of Onuma from the observatory on the third floor!

    JR大沼公園駅前のレンタサイクル&お土産屋&食堂です。 かなり大きな建物なので目立っています。夏場は外でソフトクリームやビールの販売もしてるようですが冬場は館内で販売しています。 大沼ビールを飲んでみたかったのですが寒くて断念。次回夏場に来ます。

Bikes can be rented from the tourist information center standing in front of the Awashima Kisen dock. The circumference of the island is around 23 kilometers. Taking around three hours to ride completely around the island, during the ride you can take in the vast natural beauty of Awashima, including sparkling blue ocean and green-covered hills. Some parts of the road consist of steep hills and there are no vending machines along the way, so it’s a good idea to bring along a little food and drink. Note that bikes cannot be reserved and are rented out on a first come, first serve basis.

If you apply in advance, you can even leave your rented bicycles or cars at your lodging without having to return them.
