"An eel restaurant located close to Lake Suwa's Kamaguchi Suimon sluice gate in Tenryu-cho, Okaya City. Instead of steaming, the restaurant broils its eel directly over high grade, ubame oak charcoal, serving unaju eel boxes, kabayaki sauce-dipped eel, shirayaki unseasoned eel, and eel set meals. The restaurant's ""Toku Ju,"" made with two whole eels, can be ordered with half the eel grilled plain shirayaki style (not available from July to August)."

岡谷は昔からうなぎ料理が有名で、「背開き＋蒸なしの直火焼き」いう蒲焼きです。因みに、関西は「腹開き＋蒸しなしの直火焼き」、関東は「背開き＋蒸して焼く」スタイルです。釜口水門の直ぐ側にあるこのお店は、うなぎを前日に捌いて一日寝かせ、備長炭の強火で焼き上げているそうで、外はまさにカリッと、中はふっくらと焼き上がっています。甘めのタレということですが、大変よく蒲焼きに馴染んで美味しく頂きました。生わ...

諏訪・岡谷近辺は鰻屋さんも多いので、おいしいお店がたくさんありますが、なかでも天龍はとてもおいしいです。昔ながらのお店です。いつも混んでいます。普通のうな重で十分なボリュームです。たれは甘め。食べ終わったら、お店の近くの釜口水門の景色も素晴らしいので是非お散歩を。

ちょうど休日で、先程までかなり混んでいたようです。ちょうど良いタイミングで訪れました。２時前位です。いつも通り、美味しくいただきました。
