- Located an approximately 15-minute drive from the Wakicho Interchange or Awa Parking Area on the Tokushima Expressway, it has a unique landscape characterized by distinctive pillars of soil formed by the erosion of the gravel bed. In addition to Hatogatake designated a national natural monument, the topography consists of five peaks including Tachibanadake, Mushirodake, Furodake and Torodake, and it is one of the world's three largest with the Rocky Mountains in the United States and the Earth Pyramids of South Tyrol in Italy. With a promenade and an observation deck in the vicinity, it is possible to look out from various angles. It is also illuminated in the nighttime.

- This class A river in Mima City flows from its source Mt. Tsurugi in Koyadaira to before pouring into the Yoshino River in Anabukicho. In the summer, it is a popular spot for riverside leisure. The rafting competition held on the river every August sees great numbers of participants and spectators. Hikers who follow the river upstream can enjoy the ever-changing seasonal scenery of the river valley.
