    ウェスティン淡路ホテルに連泊している際の散歩目的で幾度か行ってます。ホテルからは徒歩1時間強ですが、足腰の鍛錬になる場所でもあります。 ニジゲンノモリの入り口付近でもあり、休憩場所、レストランなどもあります。 近在ではここでしか買えないロールケーキ（同じフロアの喫茶コーナーではケーキセットとしても頂けます）を目当てに時々（ちょっとしんどいですが）行くのを楽しみにしています。

    This shopping complex housed in the refurbished former Nojima Elementary School lets guests enjoy art, cuisine, and nature. Its Nojima Marche offers local vegetables and Awaji Island souvenirs, and the Nojima Bakery keeps about 60 varieties of baked goods on offer. There's a shoe-free Kids' Space on the third floor, and the World Flea Market sells clothing and miscellaneous goods from around the world. Their popular Cafe Scuola serves fresh pasta and curry, and you can bring your pet along to dine on their terrace. The complex's Ristorante Scuola is the only Kansai establishment run by Mr. Masayuki Okuda. There you can dine on Italian cuisine made with Awaji Island ingredients.

The Global Market area is filled with handmade works of art, knickknacks from around the world, and traditional arts and crafts. In the self-service restaurant, customers can enjoy dishes made with ingredients from Awaji Island; pets are allowed in the terrace seating area.     This commercial complex was established in order to promote local industry, create new industries, and introduce people to arts and crafts. Opened as a symbol of Sumoto City in the 1990s, the complex' red brick buildings are occupied by restaurants, cafes, and local specialty product shops. The complex' group of old-fashioned buildings were built as the Kanebo Sumoto Factory, which flourished as a center of industry in Sumoto City between 1909 and 1975. A facility introducing visitors to arts, crafts, and creative activities, the complex serves as a symbol of the city's new center. A monument dedicated to the Dragon Quest video game series on the grounds was erected in honor of Sumoto-born designer Yuji Horii and is a popular photo spot.
