    Osaka Minoshi Aomatani 2926
This rockfill dam was constructed in 1982 for flood control. The large prefectural dam managed by Osaka Prefecture is 47-meter-high and 222.5 meters in crest length. The area around the dam was designated as the Meiji no Mori Mino Quasi-National Park, and it has a promenade that has become a place of relaxation for residents of the prefecture. Because the Mino Valley is downstream, there are also people who come to see fresh greenery and autumn leaves and also for hikes. Above all, the area bustles with the many people who gather in the holiday seasons.

While Osaka prefecture is the country's second smallest prefecture, its capital, Osaka City, is the country’s third-largest and arguably one of the most popular in the Kansai region thanks to its vibrant nightlife, the Osaka people’s openness, and its much-loved cuisine, which has earned it the nickname "the nation’s kitchen."
