- A 12-person footbath where you can soothe your tired feet while gazing at the ships and gulls traveling over the waters of Toba Bay. Fed by a chloride spring, the footbath’s waters are said to alleviate nerve pain, muscle pain, and stiff shoulders; travelers find it works wonders washing away the tiredness of a busy vacation schedule. - The entirety of Toba City, Mie Prefecture is situated inside Ise-Shima National Park, and here visitors can enjoy gorgeous natural scenery, history, and culture. In the Ijika Onsen hot spring district, the waters of each hot spring bathing facility possess different qualities, most being hydrogen carbonate springs. Each has its own benefits, but in general they are said to be effective for general indication and treat such ailments as nerve pain, frozen shoulders, and skin diseases. Mie Areas
Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
