A theme park in Tama City, Tokyo, where you can meet Hello Kitty and other popular Sanrio characters. Being an indoor theme park, it has become a precious spot where visitors can play even on rainy days. Authentic musicals performed in the three theaters are popular. There is a corner that recreates the worlds of My Melody, Little Twin Stars, Gudetama, and other characters, as well as ride-type attractions that can be enjoyed by young children to adults throughout the day.

This is a general entertainment area that is centered around Tokyo Dome, the baseball stadium that is home to the Yomiuri Giants. Facilities include Tokyo Dome Attractions (the old Korakuen Amusement Park) where guests can enjoy attractions such as thrill rides and a Ferris Wheel, LaQua with its spa facilities, Korakuen Hall which is known as a holy land for martial arts, and the Tokyo Dome Hotel.

This urban zoo located in Taito City’s Ueno-onshi-koen Park is Japan’s oldest zoo, having opened in 1882. Inside are more than 500 types of animals, and it is most famous for giant panda in particular. The zoo is breeding and displaying the world’s three rarest animals that include the pygmy hippopotamus and okapi as well as the panda. From the 1990s the animal enclosures were refurbished to provide a space for patrons to see animals in more natural surroundings.

A shopping center located in the Toyosu area of Koto City, Tokyo that opened in 2006 on the former grounds of the IHI Corporation Tokyo Plant No. 1. Totaling three floors, the facility hosts some 180 tenants, including fast fashion to high brand apparel shops, lifestyle goods and other specialty stores, a movie theater, book store, and a great variety of restaurants and cafés. The mall is also filled with places children will love, including Kidzania Tokyo, a facility which lets children experience various jobs and careers, and an official Yo-Kai Watch shop.

This Shinto shrine is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, and its grounds consist of an inner and outer garden as well as the Meiji Kinenkan, which can be used as a venue for weddings and other ceremonies. A lush forest occupies the inner garden area; beloved as a rare green space in the heart of Tokyo, highlights include the magnificent Honden front shrine; wooden torii gate which is the largest in Japan; the Gyoen garden, which requires a small fee to enter but which is beautiful year-round; and the Kiyomasa Well (located in the Gyoen garden), from which samurai lord Kato Kiyomasa personally drew water. The outer garden is a Japanese-style garden which preserves how the area looked when it was still largely wilderness; highlights include a broadleaf tree-enshrouded walking path; South Pond on which bloom lotuses; and some 1,500 Japanese iris plants spanning 150 varieties which Emperor Meiji had planted for Empress Shoken - the best time to see the irises is from late May through mid-June. The outer garden spans Shinjuku Ward and Minato Ward and its facilities include the free Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery, as well as tennis courts, a baseball stadium, and a variety of other sports facilities. In Fall 2019 as part of events commemorating the shrine's 100th anniversary, the Meiji Jingu Museum was opened to display treasures connected to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken which were formerly kept in the Meiji Jingu Homotsuden (Treasure Museum).

This is a museum located in Roppongi with the largest floor area in Japan. It opened in 2007 as the fifth National Art Museum in Japan. A variety of exhibitions taking advantage of the exhibition space of 14,000 square meters are held here. It is famous as the last museum involving Kisho Kurokawa, a representative architect of Japan. A unique tea salon at the top of the inverted cone is a popular spot that also appears in movies, etc.

This shopping center that opened in 2015 in the Izumi-cho district of Tokyo’s Tachikawa City is directly connected to Tama Monorail’s Tachihi Station via a pedestrian deck. Within the three floors of shops are large stores such as MUJI, GU, ZARA and Tokyu Hands, as well as a diverse variety of dedicated stores for apparel and lifestyle miscellaneous goods, and restaurants. There are a complete line of gourmet eateries including a popular pancake shop and Kagurazaka’s famous Japanese-style cafe. There is also a food court where families can easily have a meal together.

From this 100-meter high spherical observation tower, Hachitama, one can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the coastal area. Other limited time events are also hosted here. This is a national museum located within Ueno-onshi-koen Park that was established in 1872. Five buildings including the main building serve as exhibit halls, although it has several other facilities such as archives. With an enormous number of collections, it has accumulated over 116,000 items of Oriental art and ancient relics, mostly from Japan. A great number of National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties are also included inside. The museum also holds special exhibitions that run three to five times a year.

This performing arts cultural complex opened in 1990 but was renovated and reopened in 2012, and is used for various performances including music, dramas, opera, musicals, and dance. Mainly comprised of four main halls which include the Concert Hall with the world’s largest pipe organ, the mid-sized Playhouse, Theatre East and Theatre West, it also has meeting rooms and exhibit space. There are dining establishments on the first floor which can be used for meals before the program begins or as a rendezvous area. The closest station is Ikebukuro Station.

Located within Ueno Onshi Koen (Ueno Park) in Tokyo’s Taito City, this is Japan’s first national art museum and opened in 1926. With a goal of serving as an entrance to art for Tokyo’s citizens, it hosts numerous exhibitions throughout the year such as special exhibitions jointly sponsored with media outlets, competitions arranged through art organizations, and collection exhibits that primarily include works of calligraphy. The facility also includes a café where guests can enjoy beverages and light meals, a restaurant that takes pride in its authentic roast beef, and a museum shop.

This shrine located in Kudankita of Chiyoda City mainly enshrines soldiers and civilians related to the military who died in service of the country. From patriots at the end of the Edo period and the Meiji Restoration to soldiers that died in combat during the Pacific War, Yasukuni enshrines over 2,466,000 spirits without distinction as to social status, merits or gender. About 400 cherry trees have been planted on the premises, making it a famous spot for hanami (cherry blossom viewing).

"This classical music hall is located in Akasaka Ark Hills in Minato Ward, Tokyo. There are two performance halls, the large Main Hall and the smaller Blue Rose hall. Aiming to achieve the most beautiful sound quality in the world, all 2,006 seats in the Main Hall are arranged in terraced rows in what is called ""vineyard style,"" the first time this style has been employed in Japan. Performances by first-rate artists from across the country and the world are held here daily. The foyer has a drink area and shop and is designed to be a socializing space where adults can enjoy friendly conversation before performances and during breaks."

A Shinto shrine located in Nihombashikoami-cho, Chuo City, Tokyo. Dedicated to Inari, the fox god, the shrine has long been known for providing good luck and protection from misfortune. There is a well on the shrine grounds named the Zeniarai no I and popularly known as the Tokyo Zeniarai Benten (money washing well and Tokyo money washing Benten, respectively) which is believed to grant financial luck to those who purify money in its waters; there's also a figure of the tall-headed god Fukurokuju said to reward worshipers with virtue.

This multipurpose sports facility located in Tokyo’s Chofu City was originally a ballpark but is now used as a venue for track and field competitions as well as large concerts. It is the home stadium of J League FC Tokyo and the Tokyo Verdy 1969 teams. The grounds are divided into a natural grass field and an artificial turf field, and can support a variety of matches. There are also restaurants and a shop that sells official FC Tokyo/Tokyo Verdy merchandise on the premises.

With construction completed during the Meiji period in 1911, it was Japan’s first Western-style drama theater. Productions often put on stage at the theatre include musicals, plays and orchestras. It is also said to be a sacred place for theatrical plays. It has a stately structure where history and formality can be felt with its stained glass, lobby which glitters with illuminated decor and a large staircase which leads to its second-floor guest seating area. At the central shop on the first floor, opera glasses can be borrowed for a fee.

Established to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Emperor Showa's reign, this is a national park built on the grounds of the former Tachikawa Airport with an area of 180 hectares (approximately 40 times the size of Tokyo Dome). Visitors to the spacious park can view various flowers and plants throughout the year, and in spring guests can enjoy more than 1,500 cherry trees in bloom. Rainbow Pool, available only in summer, is a wide water space some 1.4 times the size of Tokyo Dome. In winter, there is also a Christmas illumination. The Green Cultural Zone is not only used as an event space but also for a fireworks festival in summer.

This theater in the Ginza district of Tokyo's Chuo City was built in 1925. Constructed as a place to showcase the arts of Shinbashi geisha, it is now used to stage a variety of programs with a focus on kabuki, shinpa (new drama) and shin-kigeki (a new comedy troupe). The Shinbashi geisha's Azuma Odori, which is held every year for four days in May, is popular as a spring tradition in Tokyo in which guests can catch a glimpse of the culture in Japan's traditional pleasure quarters which are normally off-limits to first-timers. There are bento meals boxes to enjoy the tradition of the Shinbashi pleasure quarters and a complete cafeteria menu inside the theater.

This theater located in the Ginza area of Tokyo's Chuo City is dedicated solely to kabuki. The current building is the fifth iteration of the Kabuki-za, having undergone reconstruction and remodeling in accordance with destruction by fire, repairs, and changing eras since it opened in 1889. In addition to the many types of seats from the first floor box seats to the third floor seats, on the fourth floor are the popular “hito-maku miseki,” special seats that allow people to see any one act of a kabuki play. The building's Japanese-style exterior with its tiled roof and balustrades makes for a splendid balance with the Kabukiza Tower that stands behind it and the Ginza streetscapes. In the basement is the Kobikicho Plaza with souvenir shops and restaurants.

This is a large home electronics retail store primarily based in the Yodobashi Akiba commercial complex located in front of JR Akihabara Station. Floors one through six of the building carry an assortment of electronic products including games, home appliances, audio-visual goods, cameras, timepieces, brand items, personal computers, computer accessories, and mobile phones. This is a shopping spot frequented not only by domestic customers but many overseas guests as well, and the third floor has a corner featuring Japanese souvenirs and other products for tourists.

This complex cultural facility in the Nishi-Shinjuku district of Tokyo’s Shinjuku City is based around the 54-story high-rise building Tokyo Opera City Building and also includes the adjacent New National Theatre Tokyo and a glass space with a total length of 200 meters called Galleria. In addition to a concert hall and an art gallery, it has ample restaurants including the Sky Restaurant where guests can enjoy a view 230 meters above the ground. There are also many apparel shops and stores offering lifestyle services. The free lunchtime concert held every month is quite popular.
