- This gorge is located about a 35-minute drive from Iwaki Station. It runs about 16 kilometers from Kawamae Station to Ogawago Station on the Ban'etsu East Line. It is most notable for its unusual rock formations and cliffs, which were formed by the erosion of granite as the Natsui River carved through the Abukuma Mountains. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery created by the clear streams and unusual rock formations all year long. However, one of its biggest attractions is the fall foliage that comes in from late October to mid- November. The area was also designated as Natsuigawa Gorge Prefectural Nature Park in 1953. We recommend viewing the sights by car as the area does not have a promenade for pedestrians.
