- A lake located in Tenei Village, Iwase County, Fukushima Prefecture. The lake was created by the construction of Hatori Dam, turning the Shirakawa Basin into a giant water jug, and is the largest reservoir in Japan created by an earth dam. In autumn, visitors to the area can enjoy fall foliage, while in winter the surface of the lake freezes over. The area around the dam has been developed as a resort district, and many visitors come here to enjoy the campgrounds, ski resorts, golf resorts, and other leisure facilities.
