- Miyagi Pref. Todagunwakuyachou Wakuya Shimochou 3-2
- "Located around 10 minutes' walk from JR Wakuya Station, Wakuya Castle was built as a residence by the Wakuya-Date family; it has the only surviving two-storied Yagura tower in Miyagi Prefecture, known as the Taiko-to (Drum Tower). The Wakuya Shrine was built inside what was formerly the castle's Honmaru (Main Bailey), and the area around the castle site is now the Shiroyama Park (""Castle Hill Park""). Inside the Park there is a museum, built in the Tenshu style, which has a collection of around 1,000 artifacts relating to the Wakuya -Date clan, the history of the town of Wakuya, and local customs and traditions. The park is a famous place for viewing cherry blossom; during the Sakura Matsuri festival which is held in mid-April each year, visitors can enjoy viewing Yoshino cherry trees, weeping cherry trees, and hill cherry trees, which are illuminated in the evenings."

Miyagi Areas
Lying along the northeastern coast of Japan, Miyagi prefecture is home to lashings of natural parks, oysters, and hot springs. While the bustling city of Sendai offers some simple city entertainment, it’s the Matsushima islands that deserve the most attention, having boosted the prefecture’s reputation as one of Japan’s most scenic views.
