    With its large, distinctive windmill is this guest house located near Cape Soya in Wakkanai City, Hokkaido. Almelia offers cuisine using Soya Black cattle raised in the natural surroundings of Cape Soya, and fresh seafood from the Sea of Okhotsk. Hamburg steak with plenty of meat juices, and Hamburg steak stew are popular dishes here. Seafood-wise they have Saihoku (northernmost)-don, which is rice topped abundantly with raw sea urchin, and Saihoku-ramen, which is a bowl of noodles topped with red king crab, scallops and octopus, etc. Guest House Almelia is also a place from where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding Soya Kyuryo Hills, a Hokkaido heritage site.

    宗谷岬公園にあるカフェレストランです。風車が目印で遠くからも目立ちます。雰囲気を味わうのなら良いかもしれませんが、団体客も多いようなのでピークを避けた利用が良いと思います。

    豊富バイパスの幌加ICで出たら車で数分の林の中にあった。道路からちょっと引っ込んでいる目立たない建物だった。店に入ったら、ジェラート、アイスクリーム各種、各種チーズがあった。ジェラートはシングルのコーンが380円、シンプルなミルク味でもコクがあってすごく美味しかった。チーズの詰め合わせの地方発送もあった。次回はチーズやアイスクリームにチャレンジしてみようと思った。お客さんはちょくちょく来ている感じ...

    店内は広く、テーブルと個室があります。とても清潔に保たれています。お手洗いは和式のみのようです。 お店の方は親切でテキパキと対応してくれました。 タコのかき揚げ丼、自家製ハンバーグ定食、枝豆、タコザンギをお願いしました。 しっかりとした味付けで、しかし塩辛くはなく、揚げ物はいつまでもカラッとしていました。 特にタコザンギがカリカリとした食感で、塩気も私にはちょうど良く、美味しくいただきました。
