Takeda Family Manor

The Takeda family is said to have descended from Kai province's Takeda Shingen through his brother Shoyoken Nobutsuna. Over the generations, they became a prosperous farm family leading Ota Village. Despite the fact that the Takeda manor was built about 230 years ago, it has been extremely well preserved, and as it showcases a special regional roof construction technique. As such, it was designated an Important Cultural Asset in 1971. It also holds many works by artists and writers like Yamaoka Tesshu and Yokoyama Taikan, speaking of the wide connections of the former owners.

こちらが国指定重要文化財指定の建造物であり、《肝煎（庄屋）》でありながら《大庄屋》クラス規模の豪農家で勝興寺（伏木）再建時の余材で建てられた伝承を持つことから訪問しました（平屋建、建築面積443m2)。内部は係員の方より一時間程度かけて説明してもらうほどの構造、装飾、山岡鉄舟や横山大観の作品などに触れることが出来ます（もし時間的余裕が無い方は説明時どの程度の時間で説明をお願いするか...

漆(うるし)塗りの天井は必見！

いまから約250年ほど前の豪農の住宅です。周囲は杉や竹で囲まれており、敷地の広大さに驚かされます。訪ねたときは、私一人でしたが、係の人が懇切丁寧に解説してくださいました。各種の文化財や建築様式をじっくり見て回りました。そのなかで一番驚いたのが、客間(？)の天井が漆(うるし)塗りだということです。いくら豪農とはいえ、これははじめて見ました。天井を見るとピカピカとテカっています。本当に驚きました。
