Kanaya Ryokuchi Park
This park was built on the ruins of a metal casting plant, and was based on the old Maeda family crest, the umebachi plum blossom. There are several monuments here, with the adjoining Takaoka City Metal Casting Museum's Birthplace of Metal Casting monument, as well as several statues installed. The heart of the park has a fountain that fills the area with musical water sounds. The Kanaya-machi district of Takaoka City is a metal casting town, and you can feel that history as you relax at the Azumaya building. Please note, the fountain is shut off in winter.
