Tempozan Ferris Wheel天保山大観覧車

Amusement Park / Theme Park

The Tempozan Ferris Wheel is located in Tempozan Harbor Village in Osaka’s Bay Area. When it opened to the public in 1997, the wheel, which has a height of 112.5 meters and a diameter of 100 meters, was the largest ferris wheel in the world, and consequently attracted a great deal of interest. During the 15-minute ride, visitors can enjoy magnificent views of the Kinki region, including the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Kansai International Airport, Mt. Rokko, etc. The Tempozan Ferris Wheel has four see-through cabins with transparent walls and a transparent floor, which are very popular with young people and tourists. At night, the Ferris Wheel is illuminated using a combination of indirect and direct LED lighting, which is a sight not to be missed.

I went during weekdays so just wait for few minutes queue. Great view from the top where you can see USJ and the whole osaka port.
Reviewed:2018/10/28 Skipped the wait
We skipped the wait by going for simple cabin and the view was amazing. Definetely worth trying out when you're in the area.

While Osaka prefecture is the country's second smallest prefecture, its capital, Osaka City, is the country’s third-largest and arguably one of the most popular in the Kansai region thanks to its vibrant nightlife, the Osaka people’s openness, and its much-loved cuisine, which has earned it the nickname “the nation’s kitchen."
