Osaka Itineraries - Classic Sightseeing Route

1 Start at Osaka Castle, one of the most famous landmarks in Osaka. If you’re here in during the warmer months of the year, the park surrounding the castle makes for a great picnic spot too.

2. Head over to Shinsekai and Tsutenkaku, another landmark in Osaka albeit one from a different era. We still like this part of town for the charming retro atmosphere and the many local shops and restaurants.

3. Take the train out to Osakako where you’ll find both the Tempozan Ferris Wheel as well as Kaiyukan, the impressive aquarium. Apart from visiting these two spots, we also recommend that you take a stroll along the waterfront, giving you a somewhat different view of this impressive harbour city.

4. Go to either Umeda Sky Building or Abeno Harkuas, both impressive skyscrapers that will give you stunning views of the city. Both of these also offers a bar area where you can sip on a cocktail while watching the lights far down below.
