    This soft-shelled turtle cuisine restaurant is a three-minute drive from the Ajimu Interchange on the Higashikyushu Expressway. Located in Ajimu, an area known for its soft-shelled turtle production, the restaurant does everything in-house, from turtle cultivation to sales. Soft-shelled turtle meat is highly nutritious and popular as a beauty-enhancing food because of the abundance of collagen it contains, and here you can enjoy soft-shelled turtle cuisine at reasonable prices. The full course soft-shelled turtle meal is particularly recommended and comes with mizutaki plain-boiled soft-shelled turtle with dipping sauce, kakketsu medicinal turtle blood tonic, sashimi, karaage deep-fried turtle, and more. The restaurant also offers a lower-priced mini course meal, and a la carte dishes such as chawanmushi savory egg custard with either soft-shelled turtle egg or shell edge meat.

    Had a group lunch here. We were greeted with smiles and professional service throughout the meal. The turtle soup was spectacular and they had special arrangements for the kids as well. Definitely...

    This Japanese kaiseki course cuisine restaurant, a 10-minute drive from Usa-jingu Shrine as well as the Usa Interchange on the Higashikyushu Expressway (Usa-Beppu Road), is located next to the Oita Prefectural Museum of History. Here customers can enjoy the unique beauty and flavors of Japanese cuisine crafted using fresh seafood caught in the Buzen Sea and ingredients cultivated in Usa. The lunchtime Okesa Mori Gozen meal is particularly recommended and comes with local seasonal fish prepared nitsuke-style stewed in soy sauce or flame broiled. The Kaguya-hime Gozen meal is also popular and comes with flavorful, old-fashioned bread gratin.

    地元の方のおすすめできました。とても建物も内装も上品なつくりで、落ち着いた雰囲気があります。接待でも使えます。バリアフリーにはなっていないので、座敷に入るときは靴を脱いで、段差を上がります。 料理も上品な味でした。とても美味しかったです。

    旦那と私の結婚の御披露目で使わせて頂きました。家族一同が揃うので、2階のお座敷を使いました。旦那が外国人なので、お刺身を変更してくれたり、本当にお世話になりました。デザートの胡麻団子も美味しかったです。

    落ちつかない店主なぜかカウンター機嫌 とる!味確かにアライ味付け波がある やっぱ味に？刺身ね分からんけん又来ません 値段が高いし、そんなにサービスも良くないけんですね評判ばんよりも、まあこんなものでしょう！

A trip to Oita is tantamount to a long soak in the Beppu baths.
