A western confectioner in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. They offer handmade gelato, and the 18 different flavors change every day. They also offer special seasonal limited time flavors. Particular about their ingredients, they use no preservatives or food coloring, giving you the chance to taste gelato made with care and attention. There is also an eat-in area.

The place has a nice room where you can seat enjoy your delicious ice cream with a cup of tea. I definitely recommend the hazelnuts and pistachio flavors!

This is a Japanese-style confectionary shop located near Miyajimaguchi Station with a long-established Miyajima momiji manju (Maple leaf bun) shop called Fujiiya next to it. The shop sells traditional bread called anpan, which has bean paste wrapped in the bread dough, and baked sweets. There is a large menu of Western and Japanese confectionaries using seasonal Hiroshima ingredients and fruit, such as Kuri Kinton (mashed sweet potato and chestnut), Mont Blanc dessert and Setouchi Lemon Tart as well. In the cafe, visitors can enjoy freshly made sweets and parfaits from the café menu.

    宮島口近くにあるお菓子屋さんです。こちらで帰り道に大福を購入して帰りました。とても素敵なお店だったので次回はカフェを利用してみたいです。

Hiroshima Areas

around-area-map

There is more than meets the eye awaiting any Hiroshima-bound traveler. Kicking off in Hiroshima city, the Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Castle, and Shukkeien Garden offer a couple of days of exploring; however, the real beauty lies along the southern coast of the prefecture. There, a series of islands spreads across the Seto Inland Sea: from the mysterious sea-submerged Great Torii Gate at Miyajima Island to the first half of the islands that connect Honshu to Shikoku via six spectacular suspension bridges.
