- This fishing pond is about a 10-minute drive from Hiruzen Interchange off the Yonago Expressway. They stock seven species of fish raised with care in Shiogama Cold Spring water, named one of Japan's Top 100 Famous Waters, and you can enjoy pole fishing or catching them by hand! You can rent fishing tackle, and take your catch home, or cook it on one of the mini grills they offer, as well. Shiogama Cold Spring runs at 11 degrees centigrade year-round, so hand catching is offered only in summer for small children. You can also eat hand-caught fish on the spot.

Okayama Areas
Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior. One of Japan’s Three Great Gardens, Koraku-en in Okayama city is well worth a visit before progressing to Kurashiki, where preserved wooden Edo buildings line the picturesque canal.
