Besides a rest area and information corner, the restaurant inside the hotel “Hiruzen Hills” on the premises serves a lunch menu using Hiruzen ingredients such as Hiruzen Jersey beef curry. In addition, you can use the hotel’s public bath without being a guest. You can also rent a bicycle.

    駐車場が分散されていて停めにくかったです 売店の棚も、売り手中心の配置で 買い手が回遊するような配置になっておらず、行き止まりばかり また、光量不足で全体の雰囲気が暗い

    This roadside station is located along the Okutsu Bypass in the Okutsu area of Kagamino Town, Tomata County. It sells fresh local agricultural products, processed goods and specialty products such as specialty salt-grilled “hirame” (land-locked red-spotted trout). In addition, there is also a restaurant that serves a buffet of handmade country-style cooking using seasonal ingredients, and an authentic ramen noodle shop that uses store-made noodles and local miso.

    奥津温泉にある、道の駅。地元の農産物の販売のほか、奥津温泉の案内所やレストランもあります。ここに車にとめて、奥津温泉の旅館まで徒歩で10分ほど。旅館の立ち寄り入浴も可能です。

    Kumenan Roadside Station is located along the Okayama Highway in the town of Kumenan in Kume County. The main building, Fureai no Yakata, contains a shop that sells local products, a restaurant, a cafe, an information desk, and a seminar room, but there are other facilities as well: a craft studio, a food processing plant that sells Mochi and rice crackers, and a park-like green space.

    国道53号線を岡山から津山に向かいました。途中トイレ休憩で立ち寄りましたが、トイレは道路を挟んで東の施設側と西側の両方にあります。国道で交通量が多いので道路を横断するときは車に注意が必要です。久米南町は河童伝説があるらしく施設には河童の像や土産物があります。小さなレストランがあり、「ゆず」を使ったメニューがあります。

It sells local specialty products such as round mochi rice cakes using the best variety of mochi rice called Himenomochi that is a local specialty, daifuku (red bean paste-filled mochi), okaki (rice crackers) and Junmai-shu (sake made without brewer’s alcohol). In the cafeteria, they offer menu items such as “Gyumochi-don” rice bowls combining mochi rice cakes and beef bowls.

Besides selling agricultural products such as jumbo-size bell peppers and processed goods, the restaurant offers set meals, noodle dishes and rice bowls using local ingredients including Tsuyama offal udon noodles. On the premises, a seven-meter tall mobile suit made by a local resident is on display.

    単品で750円、ホルモンうどんの上に、地元の食材、ジャンボピーマンも乗っていました。 焼うどんにもホルモンの味が染みわたっててとても美味しいかった。

Including famous confectionary from Okayama and Tottori, it has stores that sell special products and handmade processed goods and a vegetable market. In the restaurant, they offer set meals, rice bowls, noodle dishes and desserts, as well as special menus for every season. In addition, there is also a snack corner with items such as the local burger “Awakura De Ai Burger.”

    粟倉にある道の駅「あわくらんど」のおみやげ＋レストランがこちら。時間ではなかったので、食事はしていません。岡山と鳥取のおみやげと地場産品の野菜くだものがたくさんあります。わたしはなしとぶどうを買いました。おいしかった！

In addition, there is the adjoining natural hot spring facility with water flowing directly from the source “Nishi no Yu Onsen.”

    バスツアーのランチで。ボリュームたっぷりですが炭水化物が多いです。フルーツ食べ放題もついていたのですがなかなか出てこなくてやきもきしました。フルーツは先に一皿配られてから、追加は取りに行くスタイルでした

    湯郷温泉に一泊して、翌朝に訪れました。 ＪＡの隣に関連のスーパーと、この施設があります。 桃、ぶどうの他新鮮な野菜が、お手頃な価格で売られており、たくさんお土産を買っちゃいました。

    岡山県南部から蒜山方面に行く途中でトイレに立ち寄りました。 帰りにもトイレだけ借りました。 駐車場はそこそこ広くて、早朝でもトイレは使用できます。 日中は飲食店や農作物を中心とした物販もあります。 今回の立ち寄り時にはコロナの対策もあり、店内で弁当を食べている人が多かったように思います。 醍醐桜とは距離が離れていますが、真庭市への入り口的な立地にあってとても便利に使わせてもらっています。

Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior. One of Japan’s Three Great Gardens, Koraku-en in Okayama city is well worth a visit before progressing to Kurashiki, where preserved wooden Edo buildings line the picturesque canal.
